Lauren Schlagenhauf, Au. D.
Doctor of Audiology
Dr. Lauren Schlagenhauf is a native of North Carolina, where she graduated from East Carolina University in 2012 with a B.S. in family and community services with a minor in speech communication sciences and disorders. She became a Texas resident in 2015 while she completed her residency. In 2016, she graduated from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences with her doctorate in audiology.
Dr. Schlagenhauf has published research in “Readability, User-Friendliness, and Key Content Analysis of Newborn Screening Brochures” for the Journal of Early Hearing Detection and Intervention. Her research focused on the effectiveness of state-based newborn hearing screening reading materials that are given to new parents upon the arrival of their newborn. Her experiences include hearing loss and balance diagnostics, hearing aids, and BAHAs.
Her hobbies include traveling, staying active, painting, baking, swimming, going to art museums, fishing, outdoor activities, and listening to live music. Her favorite place to be is on the beach.
